Short Biography

I am an ex-gang member that was involved with the Crips, and at one point a Chicano gang, here in Los Angeles. Most detrimental to me though, is the fact that I have suffered from schizophrenia. In the years I was disabled by this mental illness, I could not read, write, talk without stuttering, hold a job, or a relationship. I had to survive on government assistance. However, I have since dropped it and the medication I was taking and have taken back my mind, and thus, my life. Since then, I have held management jobs, I own property, and been married for the last thirteen years. Currently, I’m attending college and have made the Dean’s List with Honors. I want to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I still have some difficulty concentrating sometimes, but I don’t make excuses for myself, I only work harder. Because I have learned through experience that excuses and denials don’t solve problems, I am a huge advocate of honesty and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!

Mexico Builds a Wall to Keep Guatemalans Out of Mexico!

Mexico is trying to keep Guatemalans out of Mexico! Yes you read correctly. The Mexican Tax Administration admitted that Mexico is building a wall in the State of Chiapas along the Mexican/Guatemalan border. The official statement from the Mexican government is that the wall is going up to control the passage of contraband, but officials working for the Mexican government have admitted it will also help control illegal immigration. Controlling illegal immigration?! Hmmmm, wasn’t it Mexican…

Culture of Racism, a Stain on Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the heroics and triumphs of Hispanics everywhere, but unfortunately, there is one subject that stains the history of the Hispanic: its culture of racism. While in the past, discrimination by Hispanics toward other races has been called merely a product of cultural naiveté and even harmless by Hispanics themselves, this Hispanic is not convinced by the downplaying. The fact is that Hispanic racism has been growing violent and it does not… Continue

The American Dream Going the Way of the Aztec

Harry Reid doesn’t “know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican.” Or perhaps he doesn’t understand how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be so smart as to ignore all his baiting: welfare, free healthcare and amnesty! Does he really believe that all Hispanics are like hungry guppies that with a toss of a little bait we will blindly worship him and the Democratic Party the way the Aztecs first did the “great white gods,” their Spanish conquerors?

But who can…

The Left’s Race-a-Phobia

RACISM! That’s what the Left cries out every time there is a descending view against a person or a group of people that is not white (i.e. Obama; illegal immigrants). Similar to homophobics, who fear their homosexual feelings, and thus, are terrified that everyone around them may be gay, race-a-phobics fear that everyone is racist. The fact is, not everyone is gay, or racist, and to deem someone for being so without proof is simply irresponsible. It’s unfortunate that most Liberals… Continue

HHR Presents: URBAN GAME CHANGER

TRAVEL: Budapest: Middle Europe's 'Little Paris'

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Budapest, Hungary at a glance: Start with coffee in Gerbeaud, the city’s most famous café. Then ride the old preserved trolley line built in 1894 to the Szechenyi Baths and spend several hours indulging in bathing, sauna, massage and other treatments in imperial surroundings. The Szechenyi Baths are the ...

EPA favors ethanol, imported biofuel diesel

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Former German Prime Minister Konrad Adenauer was right:  “In view of the fact that God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that he did not also limit his stupidity.”

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s obtuse favoritism of ethanol or biofuel diesel imports over exports in administering the Renewal Fuel Standard (RFS) is illustrative.

Breast cancer death rates decline

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The American Cancer Society reported earlier this month that breast cancer death rates declined almost 40 percent between 1989 and 2015 – averting an estimated 322,600 deaths. The reduction is attributed to screening and early detection by self-exams, mammography and improvements in treatments over the recent decades.

Iryna Savytskaya case deserves the attention of feminists, globe

We hear a great deal these days about women and their struggles.

Mogul Harvey Weinstein has brought the issue of sexual abuse and intimidation in the workplace and in Hollywood to the forefront. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's famous crusade against the "war on women" gave the Democrats a ...
